Mozart regularly used ‘turqueries,’ percussion instruments installed underneath the piano and operated by pedals or knee-levers. What our hands and feet proposed was a modern vision of these ‘turqueries’. ​Works by I. Stravinsky, I. Albéniz, A. Khachaturian, and D. Ghymers himself (1974–2015), kept us busy from 2004 to 2009.
